Maintaining an optimal temperature for rack-mount equipment prevents overheating, ensures constant performance, and extends their lifespan. The system is housed in a solid aluminum construction that takes up two rack units of space (2U). Each aluminum frame is anodized with a light-brush finish, then the corners CNC-machined and edges chamfered for a high-end professional appearance. This model holds three custom-engineered dual-ball bearing fans rated at 67,000 hours, and certified by CE and RoHS. The fans are set to intake cooler air and should be positioned near the bottom of the rack; an exhaust version of this model is available, sold separately. This complete kit includes the 2U fan unit, corded 6-ft thermal probe, user’s manual, rack mount screws, cage nuts, and corded 6-ft power supply.

Intelligent Cooling

Programming includes an easy-to-use thermostat and a SMART mode that automatically adjusts the fan’s speed to react to varying temperatures. Additional features include alarm alerts, fan failure triggers, power savings setting, display lock, and backup memory. Six fan speeds are available with three screen brightness settings. Behind the unit is an expansion port that can control another CLOUDPLATE unit or an AC Infinity rack roof dual-fan kit.

Precise Speed Controller

The inline speed controller enables you to set the duct fan’s speed to optimal noise and airflow levels for various environments. Unlike common AC-powered duct fans that suppresses voltage to control fan speeds, this duct fan features a DC-motor that is precisely controlled using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). This technology enables the fan’s motor to be able to run smoothly at extremely low RPM speeds without generating motor noises and heat as seen on variable voltage controllers. Eight speed options are available with power switch, and backup memory.

The heavy duty axial fan kit is designed for custom projects and as a replacement fan. The fan runs on 100 to 125V AC and contains everything needed to easily mount the fan and power it through a wall outlet. Includes a 4 foot power cord that can be easily attached to the fan’s metal terminals and allows it to be powered through a wall outlet. The plug cord can also be cut and be converted into lead wires to be connected to a wired AC power source. Also includes two 120 millimeter metal fan guards and a mounting screw set. AC Infinity fans are certified by CE, UL, TUV, and RoHS.

The fan’s housing is constructed of die-cast aluminum painted black and able to perform well in harsh environments and withstand shocks. Its impeller and blades are molded with thermoplastic and meets UL 94 standards for resistance to flammability. Containing long life dual ball bearings, the fans can be run continuously for 67,000 hours and be mounted in any direction.
