The 3M™ Hookit™ Disc Pad 28472 is constructed of 1/2″ firm density foam with a 45 degree tapered edge and securely holds a 3″ diameter Hookit sanding or finishing disc or 3″ to 3-3/4″ 3M™ Finesse-it™ buffing pad for use with a hand-held sanding tool such as a rotary, orbital, or random orbital sander. The 45 degree tapered edge provides flexibility and allows the sanded area to be feather-edged or more easily blended. The shank fits a random orbital sander or other sanding tool with 1/4-20 internal threads. Max OPM and RPM are both 15,000.
The Hookit hook-and-loop feature makes disc attachment, removal, and re-attachment easy and facilitates use and re-use of the disc for the extent of the abrasive life. Hookit disc pads have J-shaped hooks of the type most commonly used in everyday hook-and-loop applications.
